A good flat white is a small daily luxury, and the Hillfoot is unexpectedly well served. We visited five counters and drank, in the name of research, rather a lot of coffee.
What makes the difference
Fresh beans, a clean machine and a barista who cares. The rest is theatre, and we don’t mind a little theatre.
