Bearsden & Milngavie Life is an independent publication and directory for Bearsden, Milngavie and the Hillfoot. We publish stories worth reading, events worth attending and businesses worth knowing.
How we’re funded
We are funded by a small number of sponsors, paid business listings and paid classifieds. Sponsors are always labelled as such: “In association with”, “Presented by” or “Sponsored”. We show one sponsor per context and never sell editorial coverage.
Editorial independence
Sponsors and advertisers have no say in what we publish. Directory listings are moderated for accuracy, but a listing, paid or free, is not a recommendation unless we say so in the journal.
Corrections
If we get something wrong, email hello@mblife.co.uk and we will correct it and note the change on the article.
The team
Eilidh Marr
Editor. Eilidh has written about the Hillfoot for fifteen years and lives, inevitably, within sight of the Allander Water.
CCallum Reid
Food & drink writer. Callum eats out four nights a week and still cooks on the fifth.
Privacy
We use privacy-friendly, cookie-free analytics. We collect the details you give us when submitting a listing or subscribing to the newsletter, and use them only to run those services. Payments are handled by Stripe; we never see your card details. Spam protection is provided by Cloudflare Turnstile. You can ask us to delete your data at any time.
Terms for listings and classifieds
You must be entitled to publish everything you submit. Listings are reviewed before publication and we may edit, refuse or remove any listing. Paid listings run for the period shown at purchase and are non-refundable once published, unless we decline them. Never send money in advance to a stranger.
